Visual Art
In this quarter one of Visual Art, I learned about Dot-point, element and principles, lines, and pointillism. First of all, we did our first time of stippling, which is putting dots with value in different boxes, and also in making a landscape picture of a view, that we colored it by stippling, and the darkness of the dotting. Then, we learned about making lots of lines with different names that it is really makes me being confused. What I learn from Art/Design principles is that contrast, repetition and rhythm, gradation, harmony, movement, emphasis, unity, and balance. The second things we do if I am not mistaken is that we draw a picture of Van Gogh using tracing paper, with different types of lines. We have to make 4 pictures of Van Gogh using expressive line (that it is showing expression), textural line (which is a line that looks like a texture), contour line (which is the outline of a drawing but it is also shows detail), and the last one is continuous line (which it is a line that is not ending, but we just make it as long as it is not cut), and we also have to draw it because it would make it nice and shows that it is real. I think what I did well is in making the expressive line of a picture of Van Gogh, because the line really shows an expressive, and also added with colors that makes it more real. This is my best simple because my teacher, Pak Benny, said he likes my drawing and I also ask my friends about what do they think about my drawing, and they said that it is nice. But, for the feedbacks, my friends tell me that I have to be more neat, and also be more clever to chose a colors. I think in this lesson, I shows the Inquire that I always ask my teacher if i didn’t really understand what he just told me about, and also about the assignment, so that my score/grades will be filled all the criteria and I do it truly.
Reflection
1. How does each lesson contribute to developing my understanding about Indonesia?
In this quarter I learn about landscape, and what I draw is the landscape of a Botanical Garden that is located in Bali. So, I can also draw a hundred landscapes of a beauty Indonesia.
2. What could be the impact for the community?
The impact for the community is to invite the community to see the beautiful landscape in Indonesia and to proud of themselves of being Indonesian.
3. What will I do in the future to develop my awareness?
For the future, I will spend more time of landscape in Indonesia.
