In this quarter for Humanities lesson, first of all, I learned about making a booklet about The Dutch Empire. I put the significant figures in the Dutch Empire, tell what was life like in the Dutch Empire, the map of the colonization of the Dutch empire, the population, trade, agriculture, products, and religion in Dutch empire, the colonies did the Dutch empire occupy which are Batavia, Malacca, Tai wan, and many more. I also put the reason that made the Dutch Empire become so powerful. The second assignment for us in Humanities class is to make a timeline with a partner about what was Indonesia like in 400 until 1900’s century about the big event in Indonesia. After that, we have our first field trip in grade 8. We went to Monas and Jurong 45 Museum. There, we learned so many things about Indonesia in the past, starting from the letter to proclamation, and the flag that it is knit by the wife of the first president in Indonesia Soekarno, her name is Fatmawati. The flag was kept in bullet-prove box. The last assignment that I just finished it is about the skit about Srivijaya, Majapahit, Portuguese traders, and VOC. My group and I chose the portuguese traders and make a talk show for our presentation. Me and Dea become the presenter and Corneille become the Fransisco Serrao. My teacher, mrs. Diane, said that our presentation is really interesting. I think my best work is the skit, because we got a good score for the result, and also a good feedback. For the next quarter, I will try to be paying attention in class so that I would not get confused if I was asked by a question. I think this lesson shows a knowledgable IB because this lesson tell me about new things, which is Indonesia in the past.

This lesson teaches me to know kingdoms that has power in Indonesia a thousand years ago. It also helps me to know big events that is happening in the past.
2. What could be the impact for the community?
The impact for the community is so that the community will know the events in Indonesia in the past, and celebrate it if it is really needed to.
3. What will I do in the future to develop my awareness?
To develop my awareness, I need for the heroes that give their life to make Indonesia independence and to appreciate what they have done for us.
