Reflection - How can we be Sustainers?
In the field trip, we needed to use the communication skills. There are 3 things that I learned, which are Literacy, Being Informed, and also Informing Others. The Literacy was that I can analyze briefly through the sources I got. I get to know what the sources means and how the source could be useful for me. For example interviewing the experts to get the information we needed. I have to understand and analyze the information I got so that I could add the information to the tasks I need to do. The next component is Being Informed. For the experts is telling us the information, we should listen to it carefully, so that we do not miss anything important, or misunderstanding between ourselves to the experts. The next communication skills is Informing Others. After we get the information, we could help other people who don’t really listen carefully, and by that, we could also be the secondary sources.
The 3 ways on how people in the field trip sustain their cultures is that they still uses the traditional way of catching fishes, tools for cooking, and also their traditional games. One of the method that the sustainability is the most interested, effective, and also unique according to me is the way the catch their fishes. They fight for their life, which is to catch the fishes by their own hand. When I was at the Kampung Budaya, I tried to catch the fishes by my hands, but the fishes are so slippery, that the fishes are really hard to catch.
Taking my experiences during field field trip, we can be a sustainers because we actually can do all the things I have learned. My friends and I have already help them and by that, we could be a sustainers.
