English
For this last quarter in English class, we tasted "desserts" called poetry. Poetry was fun and sweet, yet it have to end. In this quarter, I learned about what types of poems that famous poets wrote, what are the poetic devices that were used, and I also learned to investigate, to analyze and to evaluate the meaning of the poems. We asked for making different theme and type of poem when we were in our English classes, and in the end we we have a task to make a portfolio which concludes and contains all of the poems I wrote. We wrote 11 poems that includes Introduction to the Courtyard, Introduction to SPH, Who am I?, Acrostic name poem, (Free Verse from Art is...), Haikus, Shape poem, False Apology, Quatrain, and finally Narrative. We also have our Interpretation test, which our teacher give us a picture of an artwork from the Grade 12's student's artwork, which we had to analyze the artwork with several questions. Besides of that, we also were given task to present about our chosen poems from one of the famous poet, which we had to memorize the poem and also telling the poetic devices that were used, and the meaning on the significance line. From our chosen poem, we also have to make a poster about the poet, which mine was Paul Laurence Dunbar. The poster were actually our writing assignment, but our teacher wanted us to make the poster so there it is. I feel really happy starting and finishing this quarter because I like poetries, I think they are nice, and I think that all poems have their own meaning each poet wanted to express. This subject relates to reflective because we did a lot of writing this quarter, especially writing poems and making portfolios :D
Below is my sample of task I think I did the best, the portfolio, because I think that I make it nicely and have a good content
