What is flower’s function and why does it produce different colors?
- Flower has its own colors, shapes, sizes, forms, and textures.
- Every plants carry certain pigments in their genes. The pigments are decided depends on the heredity of the plants. The flowers are colored by a pigment called anthocyanins. It is in a group called flavanoids, which gives plants their colors.
- The colors in flowers is used to attract the insects to help the pollination process.
- Flower function is to beautify the environment/ surroundings.
- According to growerdirect.com, the overall view of flowers, they can be 3-45 days depends on the flower. Some flower live longer than the others because of the flower's own characteristics.
