In mathematics this quarter, I learned more about the trigonometry and logarithm, In trigonometry, we were asked to find the missing angles or sides by using tangent, cosine, and sine. The problems are very hard as some of the question wanted the result to be in radian, or even in degree. We had two math investigations, and one semester test. I am grateful that there is no criterion A, because that would be so hard. Our investigation is to find out the formula that is applied in doing the trigonometric problems such as finding amplitude, period, horizontal translation, and vertical translation looking from the graph. Thanks to the investigation, I found out that the formula is y= ASINB (X-C) + D.Aside from the theory, I also learned about operating softwares such as graphmatica and geogebra. The second investigation is an investigation regarding tidal waves.
I think that I did well on understanding and applying those knowledge through my investigation. For the improvement, I think that I should be able to communicate in mathematical language, rather than words that we use regularly.
The sample of work from this lesson is my tidal investigation, because I think that I've used my knowledge thoroughly in this lesson. I also think that I've put so much effort because there are many things to get done from this tidal investigation. Another improvement is also for me to actually understand the topic.
This lesson can relate to the holistic learning, as this knowledge that I've gain actually is beneficial for my future. Now I know and I can predict the things by using the formula that I have, such as the tidal waves. It also relate on how we should not stop trying hard to get the answer.
Below are the screenshots from my tidal wave investigation:
