What type/kind of flower will I use? What is the most suitable flower for an artwork?
According to my observation and description from Grace Ciao's, Lim Zhi Wei, and Hong Yi's works, the common flower they use are rose, gerbera, and hydrangea.
I took a closer look for each flower. Each flower has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Rose:
- Red roses: it can deliver the expression of love. It can be signify also as devotion, admiration, and respect.
- White roses: it represents purity, innocence, and chastity. It can also represents for new beginnings; thats why white roses are used in wedding aisle.
- Yellow roses: is the symbol of friendship and caring. The color yellow can evoke the feeling of joy.
- Pink roses: represents gentle emotions; admiration, joy, and gratitude
- Orange roses: it signifies passion and energy. It can also be used to express the feeling of desire and pride.
- Lavender roses: it expresses the emotion of "love at first sight". Also, it express fascination and adoration.
- Blue roses: this rose cannot be achieved naturally, there is a chemical doings to change the color of a white rose. Thus the blue flowers represents the desire of the unattainable.
- Green roses: the meaning of the color itself is harmony, fertility, peace, and tranquility. They symbolize wishes for a prosperous new life and good health.
- Black roses: just like the blue roses, the color cannot be achieved naturally. The color black represents farewell and death. It convey the death of a feeling or an idea

- It has been represents for many symbols; love, beauty, wars and politics.

- Flower has thorns. It helps to protect themselves.
- It is in the same family of sunflowers, daisies, and asters.
- The meaning of gerberas flowers are innocence, purity, and cheerfulness.
- Gerberas are widely used for Cut Flower, because it has a long vase life.
- According to growerdirect.com, cut gerberas can live for 4-14 days.
- Gerbera has variety of different colors.
- The flower hydrangea grows in groups.
- Blue hydrangea is widely used for dried flowers
- This flower grows at the mountain in Japan
- The flower represents "water barrel" because the shape of the flower looks like cups.
- People symbolize hydrangea as vanity and boastfulness.
- According to growerdirect.com, cut hydrangea can live for 5 to 10 days.

The information suited to the to the project because I need to find out which flower suited the best for my artwork. Also, I need to find out which flowers symbolize which. This information help me respond to the inquiry question as I got the characteristic of the flower before knowing how to preserve the beauty of the flower.

Internet: I think that the source is reliable as seen in its url name, "the flower expert". I also think that it is a reliable source because the website also has delivery services for the flower. So this website can help deliver the flower so I believe that they know exactly what the flowers characteristics.
Interview: This source is reliable because the person I am interviewing has artworks which are similar to mine. I ask for their suggestion because I think that they are the experts of doing this things.
