Soto Bogor
So the first dish my classmates and I have to cook is Soto Bogor. I think that it is a great experience to cook it the first time in school. So we were divided into six groups which each have 2-3 person in the group. First, we were introduced to the materials. Then, Ibu Lisa showed us the planning paper which we discussed together in class. The planning paper consist of the materials, preparation, step-by-step cooking, displaying, and surveying.
At the end, my group (Hardy, Da Eun, and I) were very proud because we got the best taste with our first dish. I think that the reason why we got the best taste is because we worked together as a group, and give our opinions of what needs to be added or what should we do next.
We don't have the best decoration, and by that as a group, we should learn how to garnish and decorate a food so it would be a good looking, mouthwatering dish.

Ikan Asam Pedas
So after the first dish we cooked, Soto Bogor, each group were divided by the islands in Indonesia. So the first one is Maria and Da Yeun's island to be presented and for us to cook.
Maria and Da Yeun food's name is Ikan Asam Pedas. Three days before we cooked the food, Maria and Da Yeun presented their planning on the materials, and how to cook the food. At the day of cooking, Maria brought us a sample food of the Ikan Asam Pedas, and it tastes really spicy like what's the name is (Pedas=spicy). So because our friends does not really like spicy, we reduced the spicy level.
So the result of my group's Ikan Asam Pedas is not that bad, because it actually taste good and nice. But the weakness is that we have the soup too thick and the texture was like a porridge. We agreed that the problem is that because we cooked the fish for too long, and stir them too much when it was in the pan. So the fish started to split to smaller pieces. I think that from this second dish, we learned not to stir too much because it ruins the materials, and it become overcook that it is soggy.

Tekwan
The third dish we cooked was Tekwan. Tekwan is a meatball of fish. While making this, it was actually my first time of making a meatball. So the steps on how we need to make the meatballs is first to mix the tenggiri fish with flour, add salt and a little of sugar. Then we squeeze the dough with our hand, and the dough will come out of between our thumb and the index finger. Then we spoon it and it becomes a ball. The first picture at the very left is me mixing the meat with the flour. The second picture is me and da eun making the meatballs. The third pic is our group boiling the meatball with water and wait for it to be surface. The last picture is the pic of the final look of our dish.
The result is that it is actually good, but the meatball tastes overcook, and that is also our problem last week, which is boiling too long.
The third dish we cooked was Tekwan. Tekwan is a meatball of fish. While making this, it was actually my first time of making a meatball. So the steps on how we need to make the meatballs is first to mix the tenggiri fish with flour, add salt and a little of sugar. Ayam Woku
So, the third dish was the time for our group to present and make the took from our group's province, Sulawesi. This food is called Ayam Woku, which it is a chicken with spices. Manado is rich with it spices which makes the food taste more nice and has more varieties of taste. I think that what I did well when I cooked this food is that I present it to my friends on the steps and how to make it. I think that I present well because my friends do not have difficulties as they cook the chicken. The other things I did well is the taste, because it taste exactly the same as what known for Ayam Woku. The other things I did well is to communicate with my group members as we cook the dish. The things I need to did more carefully and well is the plating, as the bowl/plate to do it was a bowl, we cannot really plate the chicken and the sauce correctly. What I need to improve is that I need to follow the steps and the technique.

Nasi Jinggo
So, the fourth dish is called Nasi Jinggo. This dish came from Bali, which the food contains rice, noodle, and serundeng. The rice and serundeng were already prepared, and we are ask to make the noodle. So this noodle is different from any other noodle. So the steps for making this area: first we need to put the noodle to a boiling water for 3 minutes, not less and not more. Then we blend spices like garlic, the dry fry it. We actually need to look for the time, because what we are looking for is for the texture of the noodle, which is a little dry but has variety of tastes. At the end, I think that my group nailed it because we are one of the best taste noodle. We also served it with a banana leaf, we wrapped it with the serundeng, noodle, little pieces of chicken and the rice. For the decoration, we were actually inspired by what Ibu Lisa showed us, on how to play with the sauce or the ingredients to make the plate look nice, but we kind of failed.

Sate Bulayak
So this is the last food we are going to make in this quarter. This food is called Sate Bulayak that came from NTT. This satay is different than other sate because it has a really good sauce and the meat was first covered with coconut and spices. I think that we were rushing when we cooked this because there are things we need to do in time of 2 periods only, we need to cut the meat, put it on a skewers, made the sauce, steam the meat, grilled it for half cooked, dipped it to the sauce, then grill until done. I think that what we did wrong in this dish is the sauce, because we only cook the sauce for around 10 minutes because when we stirred it for maybe first 20 minutes, we just realized that the fire is not on, and by that the sauce taste a lot like the coconut milk. But I think we did a success on the plating because we learned from the previous plating and how to put the sauce and all.
So this is the last food we are going to make in this quarter. This food is called Sate Bulayak that came from NTT.
