Biblical Study
In Biblical Study this quarter, my classmates and I learned more about the gospel Matthew, as well as the disciples. In the book of Matthew, I learned about all of Jesus' teachings and the path of His ministry. Also, how Jesus was facing the tests that "human" should face during their lives on earth, how there are many challenge to be with God. Most people in that era doesn't have enough faith and so they blame Jesus of teaching blasphemy. Even the King Herod who ruled that time wanted to kill him. In here, I can also learned about the sacrifices that Jesus made to clean up all the sins that humans had done. The disciples are salt, heart, light, family, and cross. Discipleship is the process of bringing people closer to God. These 5 foremost keys are the important things that should be applied in our lives, because by these, it helps to bring ourselves closer to God, build up our faith to so that we act just like Christ, as well as to forget about all of the worldly doings.
In this quarter, there are two major assignments, which are the written test and also making the poster of the disciple. My group's topic is light. We made a poster according to the light. Our poster are filled with symbolism in colours, and that I think really show what the topic is about; light. I think that this is my best sample of work because I am able to deliver the message of one of the disciple in the poster, and is able to present it clearly and understandable. Below are the pictures of my poster and also the explanations.
I did not get a satisfying score for the written test, which I got 65 out of 100. The reason why I don't get a satisfying score is because I mostly skipped the questions that I'm not really sure what to answer. I could actually fill them in, but I also got no time left. I think that for the next tests, I should've study more and understand all the things that is going to be tested. Also, to work on my time management so that I won't run out of time and able to finish the test completely.
This sample actually relate to the fundamental concept, which is holistic learning, as it relates to the humanities. In humanities, I learned about all of the history about religion and Christianity. I also learned how there were leaders that is cruel enough to let all of the peasants died, just like how King Herod killed all of the male babies in order of wanting to kill Jesus.
This topic is also related to the real world problem, on how we as the creation of God should be able to tighten our bond with God. From these knowledge, I learned how there are many things that Jesus had sacrificed and faced through his life because he wanted to clear all the sins from us, also to be "human" that is representing God's character. In knowing these facts, I also developed curiosity and to be more active in asking questions of things that I never knew before.
