September 30
So on September 30, I met my supervisor and discussed about the overall of my working progress. I talked about the methods, plagiarism, and subject matter. In general, I talked about my project. So in methods, I asked Pak David about how if I cannot find the materials and end up only doing 3-4 out of 7 methods that I have researched. He told me that it is okay for me to do it, as long as I have strong reasons why I don't include them, and why do I choose to only focus on several methods. So the methods that I consider are the one that is using microwave, because I don't really sure about that.
Other than that, I talked about the decisions for the final product. As I am still confused on what I should draw. I believe that the object/the subject that I will draw later should represents beauty, because the goal for my personal project is about beauty. So if I would like to make a portrait artwork, it is similar to the artwork that Lim Zhi Wei made (you can see it here). It is a portrait of Marilyn Monroe. I was going to create the similar thing, before I looked at the painting that Lim Zhi Wei made. So I am going to consult to Pak Benny, the expert of art, about plagiarism; if I make something similar to that, does it considered as plagiarising or not. The inputs that Pak David gave to me is to research more about the possible person that will be used for the subject matter on the artwork later on, and pick the method that is more suitable and efficient to my process.
