Humanities
In this quarter for humanities class, we studied about geography. I learnt how to make a map with BOLTS; border, orientation, legend, and title. We are assigned to make a map of our chosen province. I chose Aceh, because it is the only province left. First of all, we did our research for geographical information such as location, place, human/environment interaction (resources), region (characteristics- type of land, and movement. I think this is my best work (map of Aceh) because I have completed all the criteria that have been asked. I also colored the map and put decoration on the paper. I got perfect score because I fulfill all the requirements. What I need to improve is by searching more, so that the information would be complete, and it can be easier to communicate to the readers. This sample relates to my aspect to the IB Learner profile by communicators, because I need a communication between my teacher and I about what is the assignment and how can I get the perfect score. I also communicate with the legend, to know which is which, for example, the mountain. It helps me to know “humanities language”, and the viewers can also see the symbols by legend.
